Soul Searching - Isle of Harris Fine Art Print
My time on the Isle of Harris was a period of deep reflection. The time spent away from the hustle and bustle of the mainland allowed me to immerse myself completely in my work.
This image was a huge part that journey as I had the focus to see between the sheer volume of rocks along this beautiful shoreline and isolate the elements that I wanted within the composition. A little bit like life, you have to block out the noise and focus on your goals.
The rocks have been worn smooth over the years by the powerful Atlantic Ocean which makes them both beautiful and incredibly dangerous to move around on. Luckily I managed to avoid taking a tumble into the ocean as the waters here are cold and dangerous expecially in Winter time.
The island in the distance is Taransay. Some may know it from the original survivor series featuring Ben Fogle.
